The City of Humble, Texas, is located in Northeast Harris County, along U.S. 59 I-69 Eastex Freeway, just north of Beltway 8. The City covers 9.884 square miles and is situated just east of George Bush Intercontinental Airport, approximately seven miles west of Lake Houston, and only 15 minutes from downtown Houston. Humble is strategically located for continued growth and success in one of the fastest growing regions in Harris County.

The City of Humble is a home rule city operating under the council-manager form of government. The City Manager serves as Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Humble under the direction of the Mayor and City Council and assists the Mayor in the efficient and economical administration of the City government.

A bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred. The selected candidate must have five or more years of progressively responsible local government experience, including three years of experience as a city manager, assistant city manager, or comparable city position by another title. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
