Rowlett is home to nearly 68,000 residents and sits along the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard in far east Dallas County and west Rockwall County. The City of Rowlett operates under a Council–Manager form of government. The Mayor is elected at-large, and the City Council consists of representatives elected for staggered terms. The City organization delivers a full range of services, including public safety, public works, utilities, community development, parks and recreation, and finance. The ideal candidate will be a progressive, engaged fire service professional with a strong record of leadership in fire suppression, EMS, and emergency management. REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Public Administration, or related field

• Eight (8) years of paid fire service experience, including four (4) years at Fire Captain or higher

• Valid driver’s license

• NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800

 

PREFERRED:

• Master’s degree

• TCFP Master Firefighter

• Fire Officer IV

• TEEX Fire Service Chief Executive Officer

• Texas Fire Chiefs Certified Fire Executive

• National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer

 

The City of Rowlett is offering a competitive salary range of $138,311.49 to $207,467.83, depending on qualifications and experience.
