Missouri City is a home rule city operating under a council-manager form of government. The City Council, comprised of the Mayor and six Council members, appoints a professional City Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the organization.
Missouri City seeks a creative, energetic, customer-focused leader to serve as its new Director of Human Resources & Organizational Development. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a big picture focus who has the skills and experience needed to develop staff, help the City achieve its vision, and take the organization to the next performance level.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in human resource management, public or business administration, or a closely related field and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience are required. A master’s degree in human resource management, public or business administration, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university is preferred. The Department of Human Resources & Organizational Development may consider an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
