We’re looking for an exceptional, hands-on leader who is experienced in governmental accounting and financial reporting, proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements, and skilled at leading teams and coordinating complex audits.

This position is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining governmental accounting principles, practices, and procedures in compliance with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The position works to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and plays a critical role in safeguarding ATP’s assets and fiscal integrity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in governmental accounting, financial reporting, and audit preparation with a public agency. This individual will bring a proven track record of managing accounting operations in compliance with GASB and GAAP standards, along with experience leading teams and implementing systems. 

Required qualifications include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Eight (8) years of professional accounting experience, including five (5) years in a supervisory role
  • Experience leading or coordinating annual financial audits in a governmental or public sector environment

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) designation
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion
  • Advanced degree such as a Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Experience in grant accounting within a public agency, including knowledge of FTA grant compliance, fund tracking, and financial reporting in accordance with federal and state regulations

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $163,113 DOE/DOQ.
