Strategic Government Resources (SGR) exists to help local governments become more successful by recruiting, assessing, and developing innovative, collaborative, authentic leaders. 

SGR is experiencing tremendous growth in all business line segments and seeks an experienced Director of Finance to support the company in a variety of operational decisions and in the formulation of SGR’s overall strategic direction. Someone who can embrace our unique and flexible culture and is willing to think outside the box will be successful. 

The ideal candidate will possess long-term vision and planning abilities and be proficient in cost accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and insurance management, and financial reporting. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are a must. SGR operates in an atmosphere of rapid change and the ideal candidate must embrace and thrive in that environment.

The chosen candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of five years of experience in business accounting. A master’s degree is preferred and CPA certification is highly desired. Proficiency in the use of computer and accounting software programs including QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook is required. Experience with Concur® Solutions travel and expense management software is highly desired, and knowledge of municipal government finance is a plus. The new Director of Finance should have demonstrated experience in administering general ledger accounts and reconciliation, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, employment and professional liability insurance, and income, payroll, and corporation tax.
