The Marketing and Communications Department is responsible for creating and maintaining a clear identity for the City of Temple as a vibrant and desirable city to call home for individuals, families, businesses, and industries.  The Public Relations Manager is under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications.  
 

The City of Temple is seeking a dynamic, professional, and creative candidate for the position of Public Relations Manager. The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Five or more years of experience in public information, marketing, or public relations is also required. Public relations experience working for a government agency is preferred, as well as training and experience in emergency planning and crisis communications. Experience in media monitoring software preferred. A valid driver’s license is required.
