Sunnyvale is a Home Rule Town which operates under the council-manager form of government. The Town Council consists of six members and the Mayor. A professional Town Manager is appointed to manage the day-to-day operations of the Town. 

The Town seeks an experienced, transparent, diligent, and intelligent municipal government professional of high integrity who will take the organization to the next performance level to serve as its new Town Manager. The ideal candidate will be a positive leader with a proven record of successful accomplishments and strong leadership skills. A strategic thinker with exceptional planning skills who can guide the Town on the path to sustainable growth will be successful.

The selected candidate must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public administration or business administration. A master’s degree is preferred. While a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible municipal management experience is required, 10-15 years is preferred, including relevant senior level managerial or administrative decision-making and leadership. The salary range for the position is $150,000 - $200,000 depending on qualifications.
