Clallam County lies across the northern portion of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, the northwest corner of the state of Washington. Clallam is a charter county and the County Commission consists of three County Commissioners. The County is seeking a results-driven, steadfastly strategic, visionary, and grounded servant leader with high integrity to serve as its new County Administrator. The ideal candidate will be a decisive, ethical, transparent, humble, emotionally intelligent, innovative, and collaborative manager with a charismatic personality and exceptional interpersonal skills who is not afraid to address issues head-on. 

The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field; a master’s degree in business or public administration or a closely related field is preferred. Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in managerial, financial, and executive level decision making in local government and success working with an elected governing body or board. Candidates should have a demonstrated record of effective budgetary, financial, and staff management, and exceptional community relationships. Experience working with unions is desired.
