The Managing Director of Public Works and Utilities, functioning essentially as an assistant city manager, is responsible for Water Utilities, Streets and Stormwater, Engineering, Development Services, the Airport, and Property and Facilities with a total budget of $64.7 million. Qualified candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in public administration or civil engineering as well as experience with water utilities operations. A Juris Doctorate degree or P.E. certification is a plus. Extensive knowledge in community development, infrastructure development, and maintenance is important. Experience overseeing large construction programs is preferred. Experience in airport operations is a plus. The salary range is $112,000 to $155,000 DOE/Q.
