Strategic Government Resources (SGR) exists to help local governments become more successful by recruiting, assessing, and developing innovative, collaborative, authentic leaders. SGR is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our innovative and dynamic team. The Accounting Clerk is an important partner in achieving the company's financial and administrative goals, and providing analytical support to leadership. This position reports to the Senior Managing Director of Finance and Business Services.

The new Accounting Clerk must possess long-term vision and planning abilities and be proficient in cost accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and insurance management, and financial reporting. SGR desires an action oriented Accounting Clerk who takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are a must. SGR operates in an atmosphere of rapid change and the ideal candidate must embrace and thrive in that environment.

The chosen candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of three years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting. An associate degree in business, accounting, or a related field is desired and a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is a plus. Proficiency in the use of computer and accounting software programs including QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and Gmail is essential. Experience with Concur® Solutions travel and expense management software is highly desired, and knowledge of municipal government finance is a plus. The new Accounting Clerk should have demonstrated experience in general ledger accounts and reconciliation, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, contract administration, employment and professional liability insurance, and income, payroll, and corporation tax.
