Located just 30 miles from downtown Dallas, Little Elm is ideally situated along the shores of Lake Lewisville in one of the fastest growing areas in the United States. Known as “The Town with a Lake Attitude,” Little Elm boasts an extremely high quality of life, is home to nearly 40,000 residents, and draws thousands of visitors to the community to experience the Town’s Lakefront District, festivals and events, and recreational opportunities. Little Elm is a home rule municipality operating under a council-manager form of government. The Little Elm Council, comprised of a Mayor and six Town Council members, appoints a professional Town Manager who serves as the chief executive officer for the organization and implements the policies of the Town Council and the priorities of the Council’s strategic plan.

The Town seeks a highly motivated Fleet Manager to direct, manage, plan, and organize fleet maintenance, including inventory of the fuel system and materials for the Town of Little Elm. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing goals and objectives, managing information systems, establishing policies and procedures, producing annual operating budgets, supervising staff, and performing maintenance and repair activities for the Town’s vehicle and equipment fleet. The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, and at least ten years’ experience in maintenance and repairs of vehicles and motorized equipment. The candidate must be an ASE Certified Mechanic (Prefer Master Certified Auto and/or Heavy Truck). The town also prefers an EVT (Emergency Vehicle Technician). Also required are five years’ supervisory experience in fleet management, and experience in automotive parts ordering and stocking with some experience in industrial parts. The salary range for this position is expected to be $65,828.20 to $78,670.79 depending on relevant qualifications and experience.
