The City of Taylor, Texas, is ideally situated on the rolling plains of eastern Williamson County, just 40 miles from Austin. Taylor is a home rule city and operates under the council-manager form of government with a Mayor and four Council members. The Assistant City Manager is under the supervision of the City Manager.

The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university. A master’s degree is preferred. Seven or more years of progressively responsible municipal government experience, including five years’ experience at a department head level or higher, is required. The salary range for this position is $105,000 and $117,000 DOQ.
