Operating under the commission-manager form of government with a Mayor and four Commission members, the city is seeking a professional City Manager to lead the organization and oversee a full array of municipal operations provided by 428 non-union employees.

The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in public administration or a closely related field and must have a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in the management of municipal operations, including a demonstrated record of effective staff management, strong management of budgetary and financial matters, strong community relations, and experience in working with a governing body or board. A master’s degree is preferred. Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work will be considered.
