• Experienced in land use, housing, and development matters

Hollywood operates under a Commission-Manager form of government with a Mayor and six City Commissioners. The Senior Assistant City Attorney reports to the City Attorney. The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable municipal attorney with strong transactional experience and a demonstrated ability to work independently on complex legal matters.

Required qualifications include:

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar
Minimum of five years of experience practicing municipal or transactional law

Preferred qualifications include:

Experience in Florida local government
Land use, zoning, and development expertise
Experience advising boards and commissions
