SGR is looking for a Managing Director of Interim Services to join our innovative and dynamic team. SGR works closely with local governments across the nation to provide experienced interim managers who can begin work quickly to keep teams and objectives on track. SGR has offered interim services for many years and began doing so on a much larger scale in 2014. By 2016, SGR became the largest firm in Texas offering interim services specifically to local governments and is one of the largest municipal government interim management firms in the nation.

SGR seeks a Managing Director of Interim Services who demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit by developing new services and products and constantly innovating. SGR operates in an atmosphere of rapid change and the ideal candidate must embrace and thrive in that environment.

Reporting to the President of Executive Recruitment and Interim Services, the Managing Director of Interim Services will lead and collaborate with his/her team and colleagues to continue the growth trajectory of the business line while consistently upholding SGR’s core values. The selected candidate will be responsible for refining, developing, and implementing systems, processes, and best practices to ensure the ongoing success of the mission. The Director will continue to grow and expand the pool of interim contractors and assess and establish a more automated platform for execution of the program.

The ideal candidate is a highly relational individual who will provide external customer service by forming, nurturing, and cultivating client and candidate relationships, including checking in routinely with clients and contractors to ensure satisfaction. The chosen candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of five years of experience in local government and/or business management. Exceptional verbal communication skills, remarkable relationship-building skills, and a genuine interest in helping people are imperative. The selected candidate must be able to work in an office environment to achieve goals and tasks and be able to travel occasionally.
