Coffeyville is a thriving manufacturing community located in southeast Kansas at the intersection of US Highways 166 and 169 in Montgomery County. It is approximately 70 miles north of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and 70 miles west of Joplin, Missouri. The city is home to 9,539 residents and covers 7.43 square miles. Coffeyville is a city of the first class operating under a commission/city manager form of government. The commission is made up of five at-large members and a mayor selected from among the commissioners. A professional city manager administers the day-to-day operations of the city. The City seeks a forward thinking, innovative, and proactive municipal management professional with strong leadership skills to be its new City Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in economic development and the ability to forge strategic partnerships that promote sustainable growth. 

The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field and have seven years of experience in city government, with at least two years of city management experience. A master’s degree is preferred. The City Manager is required to live within the city limits. The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
